The holidays are a time when we usually gather with friends and family and enjoy each other’s company. However, the holiday season also encourages drinking a lot of alcohol which can cause holiday hangover.

When you are part of a spectacular party, it is easy to assume that drinking more than usual is not such a big deal. However, when you wake up the next morning, you will know for certain that you were wrong.

If you have already experienced a massive hangover you may intuitively know that it has multiple stages. First, you wake up feeling groggy. Second, you look for immediate relief. Third, you feel cranky, tired and delusional.

Then, you start battling nausea. During this fourth stage, it is not uncommon to feel as though you are going through the longest hangover ever. Fifth, you make up your mind whether to go out or stay in. Note: If you choose to go out, avoid driving a car because you may be still hungoverFinally, it is not uncommon to feel tempted to have another drink.

Some people believe that you should also make sure you don’t drink beer before liquor. However, it turns out it is more important to pay attention to the amount of alcohol you consume.

It is also recommendable to consume alcoholic drinks slowly especially if they have high alcohol contain. Believe it or not, according to research your liver cannot break down more than 1 beer per hour.
